So after Scott and I ran our last 5k, I injured my foot getting ready for our next one. During this brief period of time after the 5k and before the injury, Tanner had been begging us to let him come running with us. Eventually I figured why not, who cares if we have to walk for 3 miles one night. Well, and I am being nice here, Tanner ran circles around us! So when I hurt my foot and couldn't run in the 5k for Salem Days I told Scott to take Tanner. We weren't expecting much out of it except a fun time together for father and son, but Tanner ended up getting first place in his age group 1-5. Which isn't to shabby considering over 500 people ran in the race. I was happy for Tanner and he was beyond excited that he was asked to ride in the parade as a first place winner. Good times!

Way to go, Tanner! I am so impressed that you guys are doing stuff like that! And, I might add, I am surprised that you let him sit on top of that truck!:)
Good job and hope your foot gets better!
Oh you know me way to well. Scott made it a point to let me know when he called to tell me to get the camera ready that Tanner was sitting on top, but that someone was up there making sure he was safe. :) I suppose he didn't want me freaking out on him...not that I would ever do that!
Way to go Tanner! You're awesome! Tanner sorta gets the spotlight on this one, but way to go Linda and Scott on your running too! Linda, hopefully your foot will get better. We enjoyed seeing you guys. We're thinking it's your turn to come see us.
Dang, Tanner you are awsome. I can't make it a mile running and you finished the whole thing. I am feeling a little pathetic.
