My Little RSV Baby

Well Scott spent the weekend in the hospital with Mason. I could tell something wasn't quite right with Mason on Wednesday so I had Scott take him to the doctor (I had bronchitis and wasn't feeling well) and they did the test and sure enough he had RSV. So he came home with a nebulizer and I started Mason on breathing treatments. By Friday I hadn't seen any improvements and in fact the poor little guy was having a tough time breathing and now Porter didn't seem to be doing too good. So my mom and I took them back to the doctor, where Mason was immediately admitted to the hospital (his oxygen levels were dangerously low.) Porter was allowed to come home with me where I began giving him 4 breathing treatments a day. I was still feeling pretty crummy so my wonderful husband went to the hospital with Mason and took very good care of him. I was fortunate enough to have my mom and niece take care of me and my boys! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Scott and Mason came home Sunday (Porter never had to be admitted) and they both seem to be doing a lot better! Both times I have tried taking Mason and Porter back to church they have come away with some horrible illness, so that is it for them at least until April. For now I just feel very blessed that my babies are on the mend!

So glad he is better and life is back on the upswing. I feel horrible for not helping out more, but I figured you wouldn't want the stomach flu on top of it all! So, I'll be there for you next time!:)

Last year my oldest son was admitted with RSV. It is so sad to see them struggling for air. I am glad to hear that they both didn't have to go. Way to go Scott - what a great dad.

Hated to hear that the boys were sick. So scary when one has to be admitted. A double whammy when Mom (the caretaker) is not well either. Glad to hear things are looking up. With all the bad, there are some great things about this day and age. Medical technology being one of them. take care
