Scott found a bumblebee that transformed--he was thrilled and just had to get it for Tanner!

This year was the first time we really had to deal with a child who was overly excited about Christmas. This posed a challenge for us because in the current home we are in, Tanner can see the front room from his bedroom. Scott and I managed to rig a bell from his door to the wall so that if he tried to sneak out of his room in the middle of the night or too early in the morning the bell would fall, we would wake up and Christmas would not be ruined! Now normally I am a light sleeper and my husband is a heavy sleeper, but going on my 14-15 months of sleep deprivation I apparently was in a deep sleep. Thankfully our roles had reversed and Scott heard the bell drop and jumped out of bed just in time to save the day! It was a fun Christmas. The boys enjoyed just sitting and watching their brother open presents and I am convinced that Tanner would have been completely happy with just one Transformer--by the time I learn it will probably be too late. It definitely was a Transformer Christmas at our house this year, much to Tanner's joy! This was the first year since we have been married that we got to spend the entire day at our house, so we spent the rest of the day just putting toys together, playing and relaxing. The only sad part was that this was also the first Christmas when we weren't on "vacation" so Scott had to go back to work the next day. All in all, we had a great holiday season!

What joy is in his face. The twins look cute on Santa's lap. We had playgroup at our house last week. Two of the little boys wanted to play transformers and since we do not own any of them, they had to use their imagination and pretend to be them. They recruited Claire into their play. She was someone called "Bonecrusher" and they pretented to be someone called "opis prime" or something like that. I couldn't quite make it out. I bet you'd know.
